Executive Director of Baseball
Joe has done it all in his 40+ years in baseball as a player, coach/instructor, scout/ talent evaluator, and umpire.
Following a highly decorated career as a middle infielder that spanned for over 25 years across the country, Joe immediately began teaching and coaching young players the game he loves, in Alabama, Texas and then Connecticut. With experience in the game from the youth level up to the professional level, Joe has been involved in baseball first as a player from early aluminum bats to the Pan Am Games and everything in between, and as a coach up to the modern day game and all the new analytical measurements and tools used to help players achieve their baseball goals. Coach Joe is a direct disciple of renowned and top infield coach/ instructor Ron Washington, currently the MLB 3rd Base Coach and the organization’s lead infield instructor for the Atlanta Braves. Joe brings his keen knowledge of how to play the infield and all his years of experience as a player and coach directly to the players of Mission City Baseball with a hands on and demanding demeanor.
In addition, Joe has 20+ years experience as an umpire in youth, high school, and college baseball. He has also been involved in the scouting end of baseball as a talent evaluator at showcases/combines for prospective college and professional players.
Coach Joe has also been involved in coaching basketball, and football at both the youth and high school level.
Previously the organization founder & co-owner of the Connecticut RiverDogs, Coach Joe’s teams and players have won innumerable league and tournament championships throughout the East Coast.
